DRY EXPLORATION WELL ON PL 406 (23 NOVEMBER)

Spring Energy announces a dry well result in well 9/1-1 S on the Gardrofa prospect in PL 406, located in block 9/1 about 30 km South of the Bream oil discovery.

The objective of the well was to prove hydrocarbons in the Middle Jurassic Bryne Formation reservoir sands.

The well was drilled to a total vertical depth of 2205 m below sea level and proved excellent Bryne Formation reservoir sands, however no hydrocarbons were encountered.

The well was operated by Premier Oil Norge AS on behalf of the PL 406 license group, using the rig Bredford Dolphin. Spring Energy holds a 20 % working interest in the license.

Spring Energy has committed to a further 5 exploration wells, in addition to the currently ongoing sidetrack being drilled on the Butch oil discovery.
